Last week I celebrated a final winter-break hurrah with a trip to my hair stylist, Emily. I've been growing out my pixie cut (I loved it, but I made a rash promise and am obliged to keep it, but now I'm looking forward to ponytails and braids), and I needed a pick-me-up for my coif before entering the classroom again.
Since there wasn't much to do beyond a snip here and there to freshen up the style, Emily and I decided a few green highlights were in order (click to make the picture bigger if you can't seem them. The green is there. I just stink at photos in the bathroom mirror).
I have to confess. I love them. I love them so much, I want all of my hair to be green. Then, of course, the effect might be a little, you know, weird.
How about you? Any fun little changes you've made to get you through the winter?
I like the green. I’m currently sporting orange highlights myself. I wanted blue but was told it fades to green very quickly. Also debating pink but felt that it would too young looking. I’m going back to all dk brown/black before moving this summer for ease of unkeep.
I love it!
I’m thinking about getting my hair cut short again. Having to pull it back all the time is making me crazy.
xo
Love! As I work with the elderly, I prefer to avoid things that could potentially put any sort of wall up between us, so nothing crazy with the hair. But the green is so subtle…really beautiful! I, on the other hand, hacked all my hair off in August and haven’t looked back!
Very fun and they look good!
Has anyone ever told you that your betty boop lips?! I love the pixie look by the way, but you’re a beautiful woman, so any style would probably look stunning!
I adore it! Ever since I did the purple hair and lavender highlights a few years ago, I’ve thought about adding green streaks. Alas, work dress code forbides colors that are not “naturally occurring”. I suppose I could make the case that green occurs naturally in nature, but I know full well they mean natural hair color.
These streaks are so fun!
I see the green in your hair. Looks great and highlights the green wall behind you too. 🙂
