Flowers of all colors and sizes abound. After visiting a local nursery, I declared that I am going to become a student of the dahlia. Wasn't that Henry Pulling's favorite flower? Peonies won't lose their special place in my heart (or garden), but the riotous colors of the dahlias can not be resisted! What flowers have you excited?
So pretty!
I saw some beautiful hollyhocks this morning. I need to see if any of my photos are okay.
xo
Dahlias are fun and I think there’s a whole thing about digging them up and storing them inside so they survive the winters here. I love zinnias for color in the summer. They are bright and cheerful and great for cutting.
only day three of your summer, and it looks like you are living it to the fullest! i miss you and the rest of the knitting girls- now that work has slowed a bit during the summer, i’m thinking it’s time to grab a project and some yarn and head to starbucks!
Beautiful mosaic and pics! I love dahlias and one of my favorite photos of all time is of a beautiful pink and white dahlia. Because we have so much shade, I especially love coleus, which is not a flower, but come in so many shades and colors.
I love these shots. The flowers are stunning and really remind me to stop.
My favorite right now – which is alway changing – would be the lavender plant. I know … not relaly a “flower”. But, when it blooms. Amazing.
