And received! My pal, Helga, seems to like them, too. I loved the Monkey pattern and will make a pair for myself someday. The person sending to me is out of the country (so mysterious!), so I won’t look for my package until the end of the month. I’m patient. And excited.
Neal and I get hooked on shows via dvd. This spring we went through all of the Sopranos, and last night we saw the final episode (a friend had a bootlegged copy of the final season). No spoilers here, never fear. I had read so much, though, about how disappointing the ending was, and I wonder, did anyone else actually like it? I thought it was perfect and provoking, and Neal agreed with me. Anyone else?
Once I got over the shock of thinking the D*recTV dish had failed me, I thought it was a perfect ending. Quirky, non-committal.
Also, if you’ve never seen Lost, I highly recommend it. Great character development, tiny glimpses into pasts via flashback, unexpected storylines. Watching on DVD is so much more satisfying, as you aren’t left cursing at the TV because you simply CANNOT wait a full week/summer for the next episode…
After years of being addicted to the Sopranos, DH and I have yet to watch the final episode. Life has simply gotten in the way. Now that the kids are older, we seldom have time to sit down together and watch a show.
Smith and I loved the ending…it was very thought provoking and that’s always good!
I had to sit & stew a bit afterwards, but I too liked it. I do want to go back and watch the final season again–maybe even watch every season again–to see if there are clues I missed that make the ending more concrete. But the Journey song? Brilliant, or pretty close.
I liked it. I think it fit the series. We were never given all the answers to everything because life isn’t like that. I mean, what happened to those Russians? We’ll never know and that’s (mostly) okay.
I haven’t seen the last episode of the Sopranos, but I do know what happened, and think it’s actually a perfect way to end the series.
I was upset at first…then I thought about how great it was – I especially loved that everyone had a different interpretation of it.
And if you haven’t seen Deadwood yet…check it out. Brilliant…and sadly canceled. 🙁
