About ten minutes ago I finished the grant I’ve been working on for ages. Tomorrow I print everything out, make a copy of the whole piece for me, and I give this baby a kiss and send it on its way.
Could you send a little luck, karma, whatever ya got out there for me, too? Because I’d really like to get this grant. And I’d really like to run the program I developed for it.
I’m taking tomorrow off from writing as I put in seven hours today. I’ve got my lovely lunch plans, followed by a walk with the dogs, followed by…something every engaged couple probably does. I did the first time I was engaged. Any guesses, K.?

Good luck with the grant! I know that with every grant I work on there come two distinct moments – the one where I think the grant will never be ready in time and the one where I realize it will all work out…

Oh, the many things engaged couples do. 🙂 I’m gonna guess registry, because that part’s fun & relaxing. Well, depending upon the guy. I did have a moment with Bob in Target when I said (outloud, and I’m not exaggerating), “C’mon Bob, stay with me. We’re just got two more aisles. You can do this!”

When we were engaged we looked into elopement and priced airfare to Vegas, Hawaii, etc. But I don’t think that’s what you’re doing. Wedding planning can be stressful (usually only when pushy family members are involved though). Whatever you do I hope it’s relaxing and fun for you both.
